AQUATICS AT BSC
Brooklyn Sports Club is home to two indoor pools. The atmosphere of our natatorium is regulated by a state-of-the-art dehumidification system.
Our newly renovated, 25-yard indoor pool has 6 lap lanes with depths ranging from 4.3 feet to 10 feet. Behind the bulkhead of the pool is a wading area of 3.8 feet. The pool is maintained at a temperature of 80-82⁰F.
In addition to our main pool, we have a separate 45-foot training pool with depths ranging from 2.5 feet to 3 feet. The training pool is maintained at a temperature of 86-88⁰F.

ADULTS AND TEENS
The teen swim program provides swim lessons for individuals ages 12-18. The adult swim program provides swim lessons for individuals ages 19 and older.
Both programs take place in a group setting and are designed to build technique and confidence in the water. There are 5 levels:
Beginner I & Beginner II
Intermediate I & Intermediate II
This course offers infants and toddlers an opportunity to acclimate to an aquatic environment. This program is broken up into 3 age groups:
Water Babies (6 months - 24 months)
Trident (2 years - 3 years)
Poseidon (3 years - 5 years)
This program requires a parent or guardian to be in the water.
LEARN TO SWIM
This program provides youth swim lessons for individuals ages 4 years - 11 years. There are 6 levels in this course:
Level 1: Basic Water Skills I (Training Pool)
Level 2: Basic Water Skills II (Training Pool)
Level 3: Stroke Discovery I (Shallow Well)
Level 4: Stroke Discovery II (Shallow Well/Main Pool)
Level 5: Advanced I (Main Pool)
Level 6: Advanced II (Main Pool)
The objective of Swim Club is to cultivate and hone the fundamental skills needed for competition. Swimmers can expect structured instruction on kicking, stroke drills, and swimming sets designed to increase the athlete’s endurance.
In addition to in-water practice, the club designates one day of training on land to strengthen and adapt the muscles needed for swimming.
Classes meet 5 times per week for 8 weeks.
SWIM CLUB PRELIMINARIES
The Swim Club Preliminaries is a more inclusive version of the Swim Club. This course focuses on teaching the required form, speed, and strokes. Instructors will work with students to improve their swimming skill set.
Classes meet 3 times per week for 8 weeks, including one day of training on land to strengthen and adapt the muscles needed for swimming.
PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS
For individuals looking to explore aquatics in a private or semi-private setting (groups of 2 or 3), we offer packages of 4 or 10 swim lessons.
